Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film) was both critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra has been engaged in numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
