Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land leading roles in several television dramas. Her fame was due to her role on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring models. Alexandra has been associated with numerous important projects both locally as well as internationally. Some of these include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and at the Cannes Film Festival.
